AMAZING SPEECH THERAPY is started from a simple dream from our founder Beatrice Teo. With a desire to break out of traditional speech therapy boundaries and a vision to INNOVATE and CREATE NEW POSSIBILITIES for those living with communication and swallowing difficulties, she started her private practice in April 2016. Over the years, we have expanded our team of dynamic and passionate specialist speech therapists who all believed in the same vision and to genuinely make a difference in someone’s lives.

What We Do
We provide diagnosis and treatment for speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties. We serve clients across all ages, providing high quality personalised speech therapy sessions both in the clinic and at our clients’ homes.
For clients who prefer online speech therapy, we help them focus on recovery through our digital platform at TeleHope.sg. With TeleHope, our clients have the flexibility to receive therapy on any device, anywhere at their convenience.

ABOUT BEATRICE TEO
FOUNDER, DIRECTOR
As a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore, Beatrice Teo has many years of experience working in National University Hospital (NUH) and Gleneagles Hospital with both adult and paediatric patients.
Beatrice is a dedicated Speech Therapist who is passionate about helping her patients improve and recover. Driven by a determination to help her patients improve, Beatrice combines traditional therapy techniques with new evidence-based approaches to tailor the best treatment plan for her patients. She treats all her patients genuinely and provides them with the best care. Beatrice is known to achieve success in even the most complex cases and is trusted by many renowned doctors and healthcare professionals.
Beatrice is also actively involved in giving talks to doctors, nurses and the public to raise awareness of the benefits of Speech Therapy. She also aims to inspire those living with speech and swallowing difficulties not to lose hope and helps them improve their quality of life.
Beatrice is a certified AHPC supervisor, thus she has trained many Speech Therapists to achieve their clinical competency in the past 9 years as a Speech Therapist.

ABOUT MOONA ISLAM
PRINCIPAL SPEECH THERAPIST (CONSULTANT)
Moona is from London and has been practising as a Speech Therapist for almost 9 years. She has been working in Singapore for more than 3 years and is a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. Moona graduated with a Masters’ degree from City, University of London.
Moona specialises in working with children with complex needs, trained in both communication and swallowing disorders. Moona has gained extensive knowledge and skills working with infants, children and adolescents with mild to severe disorders, including challenging behaviour.
She uses a holistic approach to achieve the best possible outcomes. Moona has worked with clients from multicultural backgrounds, is respectful and able to adapt accordingly.
Moona’s greatest hope is to develop innovative solutions to help as many clients (children and adults) to access proper Speech Therapy services, as well as raise awareness locally and internationally.

ABOUT KHARENEE KOH
SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST
Kharenee is registered Speech Therapist under the Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH). Prior to her return to Malaysia in 2020, she had been working in the United Kingdom in different clinical settings which included hospitals, community clinics, rehabilitation centres and nursing homes. Her responsibilities included assessing, diagnosing, and treating a complex caseload of patients referred with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing difficulties. She was also 1 of 2 speech therapists working in a multidisciplinary service as part of the home enteral nutrition team; seeing patients with complex swallowing needs who require feeding tubes for their oral nutrition and has worked with a varied caseload of patients in their acute and recovery phase across Geriatric, Surgical, Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurology.
Kharenee has acquired years of experience working with both the adult and the paediatric population. She has a particular interest in stuttering, voice and swallowing difficulties.
She is a strong believer in patient-centred care & evidenced based practice, and strives to ensure that all intervention plans for her patients are guided by strong evidence-based practice which are uniquely tailored towards each individual according to their needs.
Her optimistic personality and genuine passion to help her patients are acknowledged and trusted by her patients and fellow healthcare professionals.
Furthermore, she is trained as a clinical practice educator to supervise and train speech and language therapy students in the U.K. She is a keen advocate for the profession, often attending interprofessional workshops for other health professionals as well as developing and delivering training sessions and development groups for people working with patients who have swallowing and communication disorders.

ABOUT ROOBINEE SUNDASELOM
SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST
Roobinee obtained her Bachelors of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Degree from Bangalore University, India and has been practising in this field for 7 years.
She has had experience working with adults and children with various communication disorders, speech difficulties and hearing impairment back in India in different type of settings such as in hospitals, schools and clinics.
Upon returning to Malaysia, she mainly focuses on working with children with speech and language disorders. She is a dedicated therapist who is thorough in assessing a child’s communication abilities and would subsequently formulate customised lessons based on achievable and targeted goals for each child.
Roobinee also firmly believes in individualising the therapy to match the needs of each and every child. She often involves the family and other health-care personnel to work hand-in-hand to ultimately improve the outcome of the children.
Besides that, she prioritises interpersonal relationship with the children as she reckons that the progress of a child is strongly dependant on how comfortable and enjoyable the therapy sessions are. She is also passionate in her work as she finds joy and fulfilment in helping children improve their communication skills.
Roobinee is a registered Speech Therapist under Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH), and also a member of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

ABOUT LOW ZHI YING
SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST
Zhi Ying is a registered Speech Therapist under the Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH); she is also accredited under Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
As a returning Speech Therapist working in Sydney, Australia, Zhi Ying has experience assessing and treating a caseload comprising of all ages (ranging from 1 year old children to adults aging 90 years). She derives joy from helping her patients at any stage of their lives to achieve/ rehabilitate their functional communication, cognitive and swallowing abilities. Her experience working in schools, child-care centers, hospital rehabilitation centers, community clinics, and home settings enables her to work closely in multidisciplinary teams alongside her paediatric and/or adult patients. This helps to provide holistic and personalised care to every client. Zhi Ying strongly believes cultivating inclusivity, respectfulness and authenticity in therapy to make Speech Pathology services more unique and effective for all.
Being a dedicated therapist, Zhi Ying builds close and positive rapport with her patients and caregivers to support families and to maximise functional therapy gains. She values the importance of collaborative work to ensure effective carry-over of skills into various daily environments. She is supportive to all clients by understanding their personal stories and challenges, then providing clinical advice to guide them along their therapeutic journey.

ABOUT TAN SZE MEI
SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Sze Mei obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan.
Since 2014, she has focused on pediatric occupational therapy and has worked with children from a variety of age groups, backgrounds and challenges. She has an interest in child mental health, social skills, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor development, addressing sensory processing difficulties and working with children to improve their daily living skills. She enjoys providing families with hands-on, practical recommendations to build skills outside the therapy room.
She believes in client-centered and holistic care. She enjoys seeing people in their natural environment, getting to know them and determining ways to help them use different techniques to improve quality of life.

ABOUT LAJREENA SAWLANI
SPEECH THERAPIST
Lajreena is a registered Speech Therapist under the Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH) and is also accredited under Speech Pathology Australia.
She graduated from The University of Queensland, Australia with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) and went on to work in Cairns (Australia) for over three years prior to returning to Malaysia in 2021. During her time abroad, she has gathered invaluable experience and knowledge in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
Lajreena has experience working with children and adult populations in various settings, including schools, child-care centres, private clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, clients’ homes and community centres. She is dedicated to providing client-centred care, using evidence-based approaches and tailored therapy sessions that are fun and engaging to achieve positive therapy outcomes. She is also a strong believer of collaborating with caregivers and family members to ensure her clients are in a supported environment throughout their therapeutic journey.
Her friendly, genuine and caring nature promotes her ability to build a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and their families.

ABOUT SEAH XIN RU
SPEECH THERAPIST ASSISTANT
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Xin Ru is a graduate of City University of Hong Kong with a BA in English Studies for Creative Profession.
Xin Ru started her career as an English Teacher where she realized her passion for therapy and education after working with children with speech and language delays. Therefore, she joined Amazing Speech Therapy as a Speech Therapist Assistant to pursue her passion in working with individuals with special needs and communication difficulties.
Prior to this professional role, Xin Ru has experience with teaching children and teenagers in an inclusive international school that builds her skills in intervention strategies to cater towards students with special needs. She looks forward to spreading awareness of Speech Therapy in hopes to create a safe and healthy environment for the children that she works with. Xin Ru strongly believes that it is important for society to learn ways to interact and communicate with a variety of people in the community in order to increase different opportunities.
During her free time, she enjoys participating in outdoor activities and spending more time with nature to boost her emotional well-being.
